I BUILT APEX
FOR MEN THE
INDUSTRY IGNORED.
My name is Derek, and I am the founder of Apex Fitness. I graduated from the University of Michigan Kinesiology school and have been a personal trainer for 5 years. My clients’ success of gaining 30 lbs of combined muscle is what inspired me to create this platform, and help guys past 40 reclaim the body and health they once had.
How The System Took Shape.
The coaching model came first. The software layer came later. Both came from the same frustration: older men were doing serious work with tools that were not built for them.
University of Michigan — Kinesiology
Studied the science of human movement, exercise physiology, and strength adaptation. Built the academic foundation that every APEX protocol is written on.
Started Personal Training
Began coaching clients one-on-one, quickly specializing in men over 40 who were being failed by generic fitness programs not built for their biology.
Built the APEX System
APEX became a complete protocol: training, nutrition, recovery, and progression logic designed specifically for older men who want measurable body-composition change without guesswork.
Added Agentic AI Optimization
The system evolved from coaching logic into an adaptive engine. Logged lifts, bodyweight trends, and recovery signals now feed into a dashboard that recommends the next training block automatically.
Real Results From Real Men.
The proof is in the people. Here is what two of our clients have to say about their experience with the APEX system.
“I have been training with Apex for the last 3 years and I have never felt better about my body. My shoulder and joint pain has gone away and I look and feel 20 years younger.”
“I have always been a taller individual so it is hard for me to understand how to perform complex movements in the right way. Apex has helped me learn how to train the right way for someone my size and I love the way my body looks.”
The Program Logic Behind The Dashboard.
Three phases, twelve weeks, one system. Every block builds on the last to produce measurable body-composition change without destroying your joints.
Foundation and Joint Prep
Controlled eccentrics, machine-supported compound work, and baseline movement quality build resilience before heavier loading begins.
Acceleration and Hormonal Output
Trap bar strength, sled work, rowing, and sprint intervals raise work capacity while preserving joints and recovery bandwidth.
Peak Output and Longevity
Heavier tension, strategic carries, and mobility-focused support work turn the previous eight weeks into visible performance change.
